Title:  By Light Of The Scottish Moon

Genre: Paranormal Romance
ASIN:B00NMFFZBO
Pages: 31

Bryn, the pack leader, is so lost in his own pain he can't see beyond it. Freya is dying & has come home to Scotland.to say goodbye. Her fate lies in his hands - but to save her he must kill her.

Red Phoenix is an award-winning erotica author who gained popularity with her book, Brie Learns the Art of Submission - #1 Best Seller in Erotica. Brie Embraces the Heart of Submission: After Graduation is the second book in the series. She has won 3 reader choice awards at the Indie Romance Convention in 2013 for her various novels and continues to inspire couples with her writing.
Erotica is a delicious fantasy created to entice both the mind and the body ~Red
"I am a happily married woman who believes, based on personal experience, that love conquers all. It is a running theme in my writing. I love romance and I love good sex. It is a healthy combination in real life. My books focus on the love and lust shared by couples."

I was captivated by this story. It is filled with danger, romance, interesting people, secrets and a budding romance. Not to mention full of Scotsmen. What more could a reader ask for?

Bryn is a tortured soul of a man with his humanity barely hanging on. Freya is a woman trying to live her life to the fullest by going home to her birthplace in Scotland. These two meet unexpectedly their lives clashing in ways neither expects.

Bryn is the protector of his people, his clansmen. He is harsh and yet can be tender and he shows this where Freya is concerned. Both are drawn to each other in undeniable ways. This historical is filled with just enough flavor to not stop the flow of the story. I loved the fact that Red used Scottish words but made sure the reader could understand what it meant instead of leaving you hanging in the dark.

If you love paranormal, romance, and historical you won't be disappointed in this tale woven by the talented author of Red Phoenix.

I can't wait to read the other stories that are in this box set such as Her Scottish Alpha, Liulf,Highland Wolf, Kiss The Dragon,The Highlander's Mate,Highland Moon Rising,Knights Of Stone, The Zrakon's Curse,To Tame A Highlander,Roots And Fang, Midnight Hunt  these titles alone make me quiver with anticipation.

Lightning Strikes * Diana's Review

Title: Lightning Strikes (An Andromeda Spencer Novel Book 1)
Author: Theresa Parker
Publisher: Theresa Parker
ASIN: B00K032IOS
Pages: 154

SKUNKS AND BATS AND NARCOLEPTIC CATS, OH MY!

As if being struck by lightning wasn’t bad enough. I spent a month in a coma. Of course that was when I was a teenager. It left me with some pretty unusual abilities. For instance, I can find just about anything or anyone. Oh, and I can see ghosts, too!

I pick up extra cash working with the local P.D. I’m their go-to girl when they have someone they need to find. Despite all of this, my life is pretty boring — that is until the very hot Detective Nick Cavanaugh came into my life. Boy did we get off on the wrong foot. I was asked to pair up with Detective Cavanaugh to look for three missing children. Did I mention that he doesn’t believe in my superpowers?

When we discover the children have been kidnapped, the search takes us up into the mountains and old mining towns. With time running out and my abilities going wonky, Cavanaugh is ready to drop me from the case. Pffft! As if that will stop me!
—Andromeda Spencer

Theresa Parker was born California where she continues to live with her husband and sons.

Her greatest passion is writing and she loves to make people laugh. She believes there is no better feeling than putting a smile on someone's face or making them laugh out loud. This debut novel is a funny and fast paced paranormal mystery, which I really enjoyed and read in two sittings.

Palmer's chatty style of writing is charming and witty and immediately drew me into the story and didn't let go. The main character, Andromeda (Rommey) is feisty and amusing, her descriptions of her family, especially Nanna had me in stiches. In Rommey, she has created an interesting and likeable character, solid enough to gain a loyal following of readers. I do hope this talented writer does work on a series.

The secondary characters were well portrayed especially Detective Cavanaugh. The relationship between him and Rommey was well thought out and I loved the humorous scenes between them. I felt it was Rommey's wonderfully bohemian family that really made the story stand out and brought the story to life.

The plot was entertaining and pace was maintained throughout.

The only criticism I can make is, the suspense could have built up a little stronger, especially when Rommey and Cassie visited the mines alone.

Overall an entertaining read and I'm looking forward to Rommey's next case.

The Dragon Ring * Melody's Review

Title: The Dragon Ring (Neuyokkasinian Arc of Empire Book 1)
Author: C. Craig Coleman
Publisher: C. Craig Coleman
ASIN: B00MRGW1TI
Pages: 373

This coming of age, epic fantasy occurs at the twilight of primal beings and the emergence of man. Wizards, witches, elves, dwarves, trolls, ogres, orcs, dragons, and new fantastic creatures still interact with men in this classic struggle between good and evil.
The Dragon Ring opens in a politically charged kingdom on the Powterosian continent. The reigning queen has recently ascended the throne at the insistence of the nobility who forced her corrupt brother to abdicate. The former queen, a soulless upstart, ruthlessly schemed to attain power and position. The sudden loss of status has unhinged her. She's resorted to witchcraft to destroy her sister-in-law and the royal family to regain the throne. Caught in the middle are the royal children including young Prince Saxthor, the second son and spare heir.
The unexpected discovery of Saxthor's unique powers aggravates the political conflict. The witch feels threatened and attempts to kill Saxthor shattering his carefree world. His mentor wizard sends Prince Saxthor racing into exile that he might survive to grow into his mysterious powers. But he’s followed.
The witch also has a co-conspirator, a ruthless warlock. He’s using her for an end she’s unaware of. The sorcerers draw in the ultimate personification of power, dragons, bending them to good or evil in the conflict for ultimate control. Only Saxthor can alter the looming war’s outcome.
Can Saxthor survive his pursuers' attacks? Will he overcome his own doubts and rebuild lost confidence? Will his character develop and restore his self-assurance sufficient to face his worst fear? He will need exceptional character to control his unique gifts without succumbing to them. This epic provides fantasy entertainment atop undercurrents of political and psychological depth.

I grew up in a small town, Kinston, in Eastern North Carolina in the golden age of youth. I say golden age, because kids dashed out the door on Saturday morning, took to bicycles, and explored the world around them unrestrained only returning home for dinner in the late afternoon. I scampered over fields and swampy low grounds, investigated and collected anything that moved and half the flora I came across. That gave me the knowledge of the natural world that backgrounds my epic.
I studied mythology and developed my own language that has served me through life. My most prized names took form in the characters and places of my books all these decades later.
I went to college at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where I graduated with a BA degree in Ancient and European History. An elective course on castle and cathedral fired up a love of medieval architecture. Little did I know political histories, biographies, art, and architecture would again arise in the fortresses and palaces in my books.
I served my country in the Vietnam War, repairing the display computers on the Air Force's F111 aircraft, though not in Vietnam. Then I audited agriculture courses at NC State University for a year before returning to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and graduating with a MBA, Masters of Business Administration.
A long career in the textile industry working in materials inventory, computer systems development, and finally, manufacturing operations ended abruptly due to a corporate buyout. The imploding industry left little economic opportunity. I found myself looking 'outside the box' for future options. A seed suggestion to write down some of my stories, planted by a doctor of literature in my youth, germinated. I decided to write a fantasy story. I had no inkling it would lead me on the greatest adventure of my life. Though I didn't know the stern mandates of creative writing before I started, I learned backwards by rewriting my epic over the years correcting the point of view, show don't tell, 'ly' adverb, passive voice, etc. issues until at last I have the story down pat.
My greatest supporter and companion through the years of writing this epic was my little silky terrier, Miss Delia. She passed away after sixteen years just prior to my publishing my first of the four books. This epic is dedicated first and foremost to that precious little girl.

I stepped out of my comfort zone read for this one.  I must admit it took me a bit of time to get into the story, because I don’t read fantasy very often.  The story finally grabbed me after a few chapters and I started to get a grip on the characters and the names.  It’s a wonderfully written story of greed, and heroism.

C. Craig Coleman wove this wonderful fantasy and the story moves along quickly.  Once engaged in the story it kept me turning pages and holding my breath to read the outcome.  I will probably keep this one on the kindle and reread it on a rainy day.  I look forward to the next book in the series.

All Mad Here * Barb's Review

Title: All Mad Here
Author: Brantwijn Serrah
Publisher: Breathless Press
ASIN:  B00MXUVXL0
Pages: 38
Genre: Erotic Romance

Happy Birthday, Finn! The Knight of Springtime is turning 21, but instead of a pub crawl, he must find his way through Wonderland before he gets turned into a sheep!

Nineva and Nerissa have planned a big surprise for Finn's twenty-first birthday. Before he knows it, Finn finds himself in a version of Wonderland, racing the Red and White Queens for his fondest birthday wish—of course, his Ladies can't know his true desires...can they? Will he best the Red Knight, find the White Rabbit's missing token, outsmart the Cheshire Cat, and win his princesses, before he gets turned into a sheep?

When she isn't visiting the worlds of immortals, demons, dragons and goblins, Brantwijn fills her time with artistic endeavors: sketching, painting, customizing My Little Ponies and sewing plushies for friends. She can't handle coffee unless there's enough cream and sugar to make it a milkshake, but try and sweeten her tea and she will never forgive you. She moonlights as a futon for four lazy cats, loves tabletop role-play games, and can spend hours watching Futurama, Claymore or Buffy the Vampire Slayer while she writes or draws.

Brantwijn has published two full-length erotic novels with Breathless Press: Lotus Petals and Goblin Fires. In addition to these, Brantwijn has had several other stories published by Breathless Press, including contributions to the 2013 Crimson Anthology and 2014 Ravaged Anthology. She's also had a short story published in the Cleiss Press Big Book of Orgasm and the anthology Coming Together Through The Storm. She hopes to have several more tales to tell as time goes on. She has author pages on GoodReads and Amazon, and loves to see reader comments on her work. Her short stories occasionally pop up at Foreplay and Fangs, her blog at http://brantwijn.blogspot.com.

I have always loved Alice in Wonderland and all the unusual characters that are in that fairy tale. Well this book puts a whole new spin on that particular book! Such a fun erotic story.

Nineva and Nerissa have decided to put on a surprise for Finn for his twentyfirst birthday. Finn has been Nineva and Nerissa's protector, best friend and anything else they need him for in their lives. Finn always read fairy tales to them, so why not give him a "Wonderland Adventure" for his birthday. They have loved him for more than a friend for many years and they want him to know exactly how they feel about him. But will he feel the same way?

Finn starts his adventure and throughout he meets the characters of wonderland but with some very erotic surprises that were not in the fairytale he read to them. But Finn plays along and gets unexpected presents during this adventure. I love the light, carefree way the author has written this story. The journey happens outside and I can almost smell the wind, and flowers while Finn is having his special day. With a little magic and imagination and plenty of love, you just never know what wonderland may have in store for you.

Born and raised in the small town of Mexico, New York, Kara was an only child who was forced to find ways to entertain herself. Playing make believe with her Barbie dolls and stuffed animals was her first real taste of storytelling before she became old enough to develop a love affair with the written word.

In early 2010, Kara picked up her very first erotic romance novel, and she was instantly hooked. She loves to write contemporary romance, erotica, and young adult romance. Currently she has several full-length novels in the works, a series of novellas, and a handful of short stories.

Kara is an active member of the CNY Writers Haven and the CNY Romance Writers. Today, Kara resides in New Haven, New York with her husband, five kids, three dogs, and three cats. Death of a Waterfall is a new adult romance story about a girl named Teghan who starts college and falls in love.

Teghan is excited about starting college what she isn't excited about is her ex boyfriend Alex being around and trying to get back together with her and her father pushing the issue. But when she meets Donnie her ex's roommate things start heating up. Donnie is from a low income family in Pennsylvania who was raised by his mom after his father left them when he was little. Donnie and Teghan have such a strong attraction for each other but her father doesn't approve and decides to get a background check done on Donnie's past. Once Teghan finds out she's pregnant her dad plans to stop things once and for all, but at what cost?
I really enjoyed this story. I was really glad when Teghan started being strong and got a back bone to put her father in his place. I was sad that the book ended but can't wait to read more and find out what happens next.

Rules Of Protection (Tangled In Texas) * Kathy's Review

Title: Rules Of Protection (Tangled In Texas)
Author: Alison Bliss
Publisher: Entangled
ASIN: B00MEGM7NQ
Pages: 314

It’s rule breaker Emily Foster's birthday, and like everyone at The Jungle Room, she just wants to get some action. Unfortunately, she stumbles on the wrong kind, witnessing a mob hit. To protect her, she’s entered into the Witness Protection Program with by-the-book Special Agent Jake Ward as her chaperone.
When the location of their safe house is compromised, Jake stashes Emily deep in the Texas backwoods. The city-girl might be safe from the Mafia, but she has to contend with a psychotic rooster, a narcoleptic dog, crazy cowboys, and the danger of losing her heart to the one man she can’t have.
Jake's as hot as he is infuriating, and she can't help but push all his buttons to loosen him up. Their mutual, sizzling sexual attraction poses a dilemma: Jake’s determined to keep her safe and out of the wrong hands; she’s determined to get into the right ones—his.

As the youngest of five girls, Alison Bliss has never turned down a challenge...or been called by the right name. Her writing career may have started out as a dare by one of her sisters, but Alison hasn't put her pen down since.
She grew up on a small island off the Texas Gulf Coast, where most of her childhood vacations consisted of camping or hunting trips to the deer lease. Although she'll always be a Texan at heart, Alison currently resides in the Midwest with her Iowa farm-boy husband and their two sons. With so much testosterone in her home, it's no wonder she writes "girl books."
She's an animal lover, a closet video game enthusiast, and believes the best way to know if someone is your soul mate is by canoeing with them because if you both make it back alive, it's obviously meant to be. Alison's an avid romance reader who enjoys penning the type of books she loves to read most: fun, steamy love stories with heart, heat, laughter, and usually a cowboy or two. As she calls it, "Romance...with a sense of humor."

I read this book a week ago and deliberately waited to write my review. Why you ask? That's a great question...thanks for asking. I was so absolutely overcome with the last 50 pages that I was unable to form sentences. Only words such as BRILLIANT, AMAZING, OMG, CREATIVE, HILARIOUS, and AWESOME would come to mind. I'm not sure I can do any better at this point, but I'm going to try... I can't believe RULES OF PROTECTION is the author's first book!! Everything about it was perfect. The story was perfect and complete. The author covered every single thing that was brought up. The writing was flawless.. Characters and plot were well developed, plot moved along smoothly, and the story and characters are so not forgettable. The reader gets a bit of everything with this book...romance, mystery, comedy, and steamy love scenes. The story is believable. I was on the edge of my seat, I laughed, I cried, I got chills all through the book at different times. But OMG.. that ending...all of the above occurred with the ending.. Best book ever. Best ending ever... I don't do spoilers so you'll have to one click to see what I mean. The book was always entertaining with never a lull, mainly because of the sense of humor that the heroine possessed. There was a humorous aspect to the story that resulted in many LOL movements. The author was genius with this part. Even though it was funny, the humor did not take anything away from the seriousness of story nor did it make the romance seem "cheesy." Alison Bliss nailed it. She describes her work as romance with a sense of humor. I do believe she is going to be famous, not only as an amazing author, but as a trend setter as well. I do believe we will have a new genre, with this author reigning as it's master!!! The ending is brilliant. I'm not saying anything else except that there is no cliff hanger and it will not rip your heart out. Although there are other books coming out in this series, this can be read as a stand alone. Honestly, I can't imagine wanting to stop here!! I definitely recommend this book and this author, in fact I already have done just that to many friends. I might add that I have been thanked by those whom have read the book. I will be reading her other books... One hundred stars!!!
